About the Author
Born to the son of a railman, David was destined to become a train driver and in June 1980 began a 41 year career in the rail industry which took him to places that he could not of dreamed of as a 15 year old.

Alright Spider takes the reader on a journey from David's early years, then following in his Father's footsteps on to the footplate to become a drivers assistant and then driver, and later on to become president of the train drivers union ASLEF and in 2001 was appointed trustee director of one of the largest pension schemes in the UK
